Meet the Staff of the USGA Museum

The Museum staff consists of dedicated individuals who specialize in the game’s history and traditions. They also assist researchers with resource materials ranging from the printed word to images and photographs. Contact them any time with questions or comments.

Rand Jerris, Ph.D.
Director

Rand Jerris has served as Director of the USGA Museum since 2002. A long-time New Jersey resident, Jerris holds a B.A and M.A. from Williams College, and a Ph.D. in Art and Archaeology from Princeton University. Jerris is responsible for strategic oversight of the Museum, as well as the long-term development of the facility and its collections.

David Normoyle
Assistant Director

David Normoyle has served as the Assistant Director of the USGA Museum since 2008. He holds B.A. degrees in History and American Studies from Colby College, a Masters degree in History from the University of Cambridge, and is in the final stages of completing a Ph.D. in History at Cambridge. Normoyle is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the daily operation of the Museum, as well as developing historical content and managing research activities.

Nancy Stulack
Librarian

A native of New Jersey, Nancy Stulack joined the USGA staff in 1985, working in the USGA Foundation Department before joining the Museum staff in 1990. She is responsible for the daily operation of the USGA Museum's Research Center, as well as administration of the Library Collection.

Shannon Doody
Film and Video Archivist

Shannon Doody, another New Jersey native, first joined the USGA in 1997, and has been a member of the Museum staff since 2001. Captain of a local volunteer fire department, Doody holds a B.A. in History from Providence College. He is responsible for coordinating all requests for film and video footage from the USGA collection.

Ellie Kaiser
Assistant Manager, Photographic Archive

Ellie Kaiser joined the Museum staff in 2006. Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Kaiser graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in Journalism and a minor in Art History. She is responsible for handling all requests for images, editing images on-site at USGA championships and maintaining the Museum’s photographic collection.

Beth Murrison
Manager of Education and Outreach

Beth Murrison has been Manager of Education and Outreach since 2008. She joined the USGA staff in 2000 in the Media Relations department and holds a B.A. in Journalism from The Ohio State University. Murrison is responsible for development and oversight of education and outreach programs, marketing and communications efforts and publications for the Museum.

Robert Alvarez
Collections Manager

Robert Alvarez joined the Museum staff in 2008. Originally from Philadelphia, he graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a B.A. in History, and later Rutgers University with an M.A. in History. As Collections Manager, Alvarez is responsible for the care of the collection, coordination of loans and acquisitions, answering research inquiries, and general Museum record keeping.
