Get Involved and be Part of History
The USGA Museum relies on the dedicated services of many interns and volunteers to ensure the success of its various programs. At any given time, a variety of paid and unpaid positions may be available in all areas within the Museum, including the Research Center, Film and Video Archive, Photographic Archive, Museum Collection, and Education Department. Working alongside members of the Museum’s professional staff, volunteers and interns have unique opportunities to give back to the golf community and the game.
USGA Museum Internship Program
An internship at the USGA Museum is an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to gain valuable, hands-on experience in archival administration, library management, museum practices, preservation, and historical scholarship. The internship program is project-oriented and designed to coincide with student interests and professional goals. Working with a professional staff, interns receive one-on-one attention in their chosen field.

Volunteer Opportunities with the USGA Museum
Volunteering at the USGA Museum is an engaging and rewarding opportunity for individuals to contribute to the daily operation of the Museum and be involved with the game of golf. Volunteers work with the Museum staff to help organize and facilitate access to the collection.
We appreciate the time that you are giving the USGA, and as such we will make every effort to match your skills and interests with the priorities of the department. We ask that volunteers respect the position as they would any professional job. We request that volunteers work at least two hours a week.
